Joel Childress is a native Charlottean and has been a successful Mortgage Loan Originator for 18 years. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2004 and earned an Executive Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from Auburn University in 2018. He previously worked at Home Point Financial Corp., First Financial Services, Inc. and Wyndham Capital Mortgage, Inc.
Joel is also a non-practicing licensed NC Real Estate Broker, which allows him to understand all angles of the home buying process. He has an acute sales skill set with the ability to educate and engage clients while establishing trust in the Piedmont Financial team. He has closed over 3,000 loans during his career with a total funding volume in excess of $900 Million. Joel passionately cares about each of his clients and takes the time to fully comprehend their needs to provide the best possible financial instrument. He prides himself on helping his customers navigate the ever-changing loan process as smoothly as possible.
